What is Parkinson's disease?
- Parkinson's disease (PD) is an age-related progressive neurodegenerative disease of the brain
- PD is characterised by motor
and non-motor
symptoms1,2
- PD symptoms can vary from patient to patient, but worsen over time1
- Hand tremor is often the first motor symptom of PD2
- It is estimated that approximately 40% of people with PD suffer from some form of depressive symptom3,4
